Was thinking this morning - the sooner we women have the technology to build real flesh-and-blood men the better. Because all the best men were invented by women. Heathcliff. Not a personal favourite, I think he was a douche, but I know he sets some of my sisters to sighing. Mr Rochester, phwoar!!! Imagine if those Brontes had a man-making kit in the attic? I would order two Mr Rochesters. Oh wait! No, only one, cos I need room for my Mr Darcy... Now Ms Austen had a whole drawer full of lusty men! Even the naughty ones - you wouldn't say no to a w/e with Wickham or Willoughby would you? And once you wanted to settle down, if you were worn out by the excitements of Heathcliffs, Darcys, Rochesters, Wickham/Willoughbys, you could choose from the catalogue of stable, loving Edwards, Bingleys etc.
And more recently - the gorgeous yet slightly creepy Edward Cullen (lets face it, we like 'em a little creepy) came to Stephanie Meyer in a dream. True Blood - anyone else obsessed with Eric or Bill or Sam?? Yep, created by a woman. Even little Harry Potter, I mean he's coming along quite nicely isn't he? Did the right thing by Ginny.
There must be HEAPS more. Let me know your suggestions. We need to have a catalogue ready to go when person-building technology catches up with us. The Brontes and Jane Austen died without ever seeing their dream come to fruition. Let not Ms Meyer, Harris et al have the same fate. We'll get the men working on the technical part of it and then BAM!! Darcy's and Edward Cullens everywhere. If you're gonna have a blood sucker he may as well be loaded.
Stuff Mr Darcy, what about Mr Knightley?
